Verizon announced two new science-based emissions reduction targets, committing to a 53 percent reduction in its operational emissions (Scope 1 and 2) between 2019 and 2030, and a 40 percent reduction in its value chain emissions (Scope 3) between 2019 and 2035.
Through Citizen Verizon, and the key pillars of Digital Inclusion, Climate Protection and Human Prosperity, the company is committed to providing 10 million youths with digital skills training by 2030, supporting 1 million small businesses with resources to help them thrive in the digital economy by 2030, achieving carbon neutrality in its operations by 2035, and preparing 500,000 individuals for jobs of the future by 2030.
Purchase Confirmation for Third-Party Charges: Beginning no later than July 1, 2015, Verizon will implement a system whereby the Consumer (and, for multiline accounts, the Account Holder, if designated) will be sent a purchase confirmation, separate from the Bill of every Third-Party Charge, including recurring charges, that will appear on his or her Bill.
